ADVERT

The opening shot is the bands name and logo of sorts. The logo zooms in as the song starts, this will make normal fans familiar with the must video right off the bat.

In between backward shots of the band traveling to the gig, you see them playing at the gig in time with the music. These shots use the studio recording instead of a live recording to make the music video sound more high quality and crisper. This shot is common through out the music video to show what the band are like preforming live.

This is one of the shots of the band setting up before their gig. Each shot is recorded and then reversed. I think this is to show how much effort going into one single gig and shows the bands commitment. The whole video is shot in black and white, I believe this is because the lyrics itself in the song are quite dark and are about the lead singers girlfriend leaving him despite the instruments being upbeat.

This is another close up shot in reverse of the band before the gig. This is a shot of the drummer with his dog, it is a close up shot that is also in black and white.

This again is another shot thats edited backwards that is in the backstage area where the band will play. This shows that unlike a lot of band all these guys like each other.

Im not sure why there is a shot of the band van just in the middle of the music video but this could be them arriving at this gig. This is an establishing shot of the area where they are playing

This is one of the last shots of the band on stage, it shows the full crowd and the lead singer interacting with them to show that they care about their fans

This is one of the closing shots of the band on stage before the music video ends. This is a two shot of two of the band members on stage finishing off the song. This like the rest of the shots is backwards and in black and white.

The music video ends with a still shot of the bands van as people walk past it.
