SHOTS

Experimetning with the camera has allowed us to make our variety of shots more broad and interesting which was the exact aim for us. Camera techniques are what make a plain video into a great video, becuase it gives more of a feel to a vdieo and can portray moods and movements when using different techniques

Either side of this text are some of our experimental texhniques, most notably the use of turning down the shutter speed of the camera which gives a spectrum of movement but also gives the image a blur to it. All of us like this technique and we feel that it is going to be an ever-present in our final video. This is because it fits perfectly with what our aim of the video is, the use of this technique would create a disorientating effect and motion giving the sense of a party atmosphere.

The Trombone shot is another aspect of camera work that we decided to experiment with. It gives the effect of moving in but also breaking the depth of the shot, to do this you zoom in either in or out depending if you move the dolly forward or backwards. We think that this sho would be best for the shots that link the chorus to the verse as it would be an interesting transition of pace and also into antoher shot. We haven't quite mastered this technique but now we understnad how it works and we will be looking to do so in the future.

In this video we experimented with adding blur over our rough cut to see if we could further add to the disorentating feel to the senario thats going on. I think that this looks good in small doses however it could very easily be over done and look  tacky. I think we will avoid using this too much but we might tone the strength down on some of the shots and try this again.
